I'm a South Korean artist based in San Francisco working primarily in acrylic painting and experimental mixed media practices that explore perception, abstraction, and sensory experience. My work is informed by an interest in duality and the spaces between opposing forces, where contradiction can coexist and entangle rather than resolve, forming new relationships between structure and fluidity.
Alongside my studio practice, I have a background as a creative technologist, developing tools and workflows for artists at studios including Lucasfilm, Blizzard Cinematics, and Meta. This experience with systems and creative infrastructure informs an ongoing interest in how structure can support, rather than contain, artistic expression.
My work is shaped by an interest in interconnectedness — how a single image can hold multiple temporal states at once, where past, present, and future perception overlap. Looking at a painting becomes a shifting encounter shaped by memory, projection, and change, where meaning is continuously reformed through the viewer's evolving relationship to their own past and future selves.
